MGFA is committed to finding a cure for myasthenia gravis and closely related disorders, improving treatment options and providing information and support to people with myasthenia gravis through research, education, community programs, and advocacy.
Strategic Research Priority
Create and implement a coordinated international research agenda/program to find a cure for myasthenia gravis and improve the daily lives of individuals with myasthenia gravis by:
At the May 2010 MGFA Board meeting, four exciting new research proposals were approved by the Board.
Motion Approved: to expend the first year AANF fellowship grant of $52,500 subject to AANF’s Board approval
Motion Approved: to approve a special program budget of $8k for a Nurses Clinical Practice Guidelines. The NAB will investigate the status of the Institute of Medicine’s study of best practices on CPG and compatibility with those of the NAB.
